What are you actually paying for?

Five ways to get a small-business website, three years of real cost. The upfront quote isn't the price — year two and three are where it stops talking.

You own everything

Domain, code, and Google Business Profile — all in your name from day one.

Derek picks up the phone

No account managers, no ticket queue. The person who built your site answers it.

No lock-in

Leave anytime and take the whole site with you. No hostage situations.

Your website should be your best salesperson.

Let's Talk

/01

Invisible on Google

Customers are searching for what you sell right now. If your site doesn't show up, they're finding your competitor instead.

/02

Broken on Phones

Over 60% of local searches happen on mobile. A site that doesn't work on a phone is a site that's losing you money.

/03

Visitors Don't Convert

Traffic means nothing if visitors leave without calling, booking, or buying. Design drives action.

From data to results.

Your website has four jobs: get found, build trust, make calling easy, and keep improving. In order. Done well.

01

Get found.

Local SEO, Google Business Profile, service-area pages, technical health — built for the searches that turn into phone calls.

02

Build trust in five seconds.

Real proof above the fold — reviews, credentials, photos, hours. Mobile-first and fast, so calling feels obvious.

03

Make calling effortless.

Clear CTAs, working forms, tracked phone numbers. Every quote request logged — no friction between intent and contact.

04

Keep improving it.

Monthly optimization, ranking checks, content updates, conversion tweaks. Sites don't stay good — they get kept good.

Everything your business needs online.

Your website brings in leads.
This makes sure you never lose one.

Most small businesses don't lose customers because they're bad at the work — they lose them because a lead came in and nobody followed up in time. Every site I build comes with a lead system that makes sure that never happens to you.

Every lead in one place

When someone reaches out through your site, it doesn't get buried in your inbox — it's captured, organized, and waiting for you.

You know the moment it happens

You're alerted the second a new lead comes in, so you can reach out while they're still interested — not three days later.

Nothing falls through the cracks

Every inquiry and follow-up in one place. No sticky notes, no “I meant to call them back.”

You look bigger than you are

Fast, consistent follow-up is what makes a small business feel established and trustworthy. The system handles the busywork so you can stay on the job.

I set it up and run it — not you

There's nothing to learn or log into. It comes with your website, managed by me. You can get a login to watch your leads anytime — but you never have to.

You see it working

A simple monthly rundown — how many leads came in, and where from — so you know your website is earning its keep.

Growth & Partnership

The best-looking website in town doesn't matter if an inquiry sits unanswered over the weekend. That's the part most web designers skip. I don't.

Here's what working with me looks like.

Every project is different, but these are the standards I hold myself to — no exceptions.

6

Standards I hold myself to

No exceptions, no compromise — on every project.

/01

A Partner, Not a Vendor

You get someone who genuinely cares about your business — not an agency that treats you like a ticket number. I'm a phone call away.

/02

Found on Google

Your site will be built with SEO baked in from day one — proper structure, local keywords, fast load times, and Google Business integration.

/03

Beautiful on Every Device

Mobile-first design that looks and works flawlessly whether your customer is on a phone at the lake or a desktop at home.

/04

Real Data, Not Guesswork

Analytics and tracking set up from launch so you can see exactly where visitors come from and what makes them convert.

/05

Fast, Secure, and Reliable

Modern hosting, SSL security, regular backups, and performance optimization — the technical stuff handled so you don't have to think about it.

/06

Plain English, Always

No jargon, no upsells, no confusing proposals. Just clear communication about what I'm doing, why, and how it helps your bottom line.

Paid Ads

Are Google Ads Worth It for a Small Local Business?

Google Ads can put you at the top of search tomorrow — but they're only worth it under the right conditions. When paid search pays off for a Lake Havasu business, when it burns money, and how it stacks up against SEO.

Do Facebook & Instagram Ads Actually Work for Local Businesses?

Yes — but for a different job than most people expect. Social ads put your business in front of local people who aren't searching yet. Here's what they're great at, where they fall down, and how to make them pay off.

Built by someone who gets it.

I'm Derek — a dad to a growing family of four and a web designer right here in Lake Havasu City.

I didn't start in tech. I grew up in my family's cabinetry business, sweeping sawdust as a kid and eventually working full-time alongside my family. Those years taught me everything about what it really takes to run a small business: the long days, the pride of landing a big job, the stress of making payroll when cash flow is tight.

Today, I channel that same grit into web design. I know what it's like to worry about overhead, to need more leads yesterday, and to want your business to grow so you can provide better for the people who depend on you.

Your business deserves to be seen and to succeed.

Genuinely Loves Helping

There’s real joy in seeing a local business connect with more customers and grow.

Questions, answered.

The things Lake Havasu business owners ask me most — straight answers, no jargon.

How much does a website cost?
Most custom builds run $2,500–$5,000 depending on scope, plus a monthly plan starting at $179 that keeps your site hosted, secure, and improving. You'll know the number up front — no surprise invoices.
Do I own my website, or am I renting it?
You own it. The code (on GitHub), your domain, your content, and your Google Business Profile are all yours. If we ever part ways, you walk away with everything — no platform lock-in.
Why isn't my business showing up on Google?
Usually it's one of a few things: no (or an unoptimized) Google Business Profile, no local SEO, a slow or outdated site, or too few reviews. My free audit shows you exactly which one is holding you back.
What is local SEO — and do I actually need it?
Local SEO is how you show up when someone nearby searches for what you do — like “garage door repair near me.” If you serve a local area, it's the difference between getting found and being invisible. So yes, you need it.
Do I still need a website if I have a Facebook page?
Yes. Facebook rents you an audience and can change the rules anytime. Your website is the one place online that's fully yours — and it's where Google sends people who are searching ready to buy.
How long does it take to build?
Anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. The build itself moves fast — the timeline mostly comes down to how quickly you get me your content and photos.
Am I locked into a long contract?
You start with a 12-month plan so we have time to build real momentum, then it's month-to-month. No multi-year traps.
Do you only build for trades and contractors?
No. Trades are a focus because they're a strong local fit, but I build for any Lake Havasu business — restaurants, services, retail, professional offices. If a better website would bring you customers, you're a fit.
What areas do you serve?
Lake Havasu City first, plus Bullhead City, Kingman, Parker, and the rest of Mohave County.
Can you handle social media and ads too?
Yes — Social Media + Video is a $300/mo add-on (regular social posts plus a monthly short-form video), and it's included in the Ongoing Partnership plan.
